Nagi Noda and Human Art
It’s interesting that some students in Fabrica love Nagi Noda, Japanese talented creative director, works. I didn’t know her video works so much and checked them at her official web site and Partizan, which also has many other great directors’ videos. When I saw her Scissor Sisters video, the idea and technic reminded me of one Japanese traditional TV program. It’s a kind of Human Art competitions and very popular in Japan. Many amateur groups, like families and classes, participated in it. The video above is from that program. Pepsi bought the idea of the last performance. By the way, I love her first name, Nagi, very much.
野田凪の話が出たついでに彼女について調べてみました。特にビデオ先品はあまり知らなかったので、オフィシャル・サイト（事務所の借り手を探してる）と、Partizanで観てみました。ちなみに後者はミシェル・ゴンドリーほか、色々なディレクターのビデオも観る事ができるみたいです。 Scissor Sistersのビデオを観た後、これは「欽ちゃんの仮装大賞」だという事を発見しました。偶然ですが、上のビデオの最後に出て来るピンポンをペプシが買ったというニュースも、コカ・コーラが野田凪のセンチメンタル・ジャーニーのアイデアを買ったという話に似ています。
